Our
Health Week with Comenius started in fact in February when all the classes in our school had lessons about bad effects of smoking, drinking alcohol and drug taking. There were
two class competitions a) for the best poster presenting the effects of smoking; b) "Convince me to quit smoking and drink alcohol" - a short film shot with a mobile phone. We also had a school compaign: "
QUIT SMOKING WITH COMENIUS".
120 students took part in a meeting with
professor Brunon F.P. Zemła from the Oncology Institute in Gliwice. Professor Zemła talked about smoking, drugs and cancer desease. The lecture was very interesting for students. The meeting took place on 5th March 2013.
Students who wanted to learn Street Dance and Hip Hop had a chance to do it on Wednesday (6th March). There were special
Street Dance workshops organised for students from different classes from our school. PE teachers and students could also try new
fitness equipment and take part in a lesson with a professional fitness trainer.
Four-year students participated in
psychological workshops. They were taught techniques and strategies for dealing with stress. These skills are very useful during exams and in everyday life.
